Hi, Sorry for the late reply i've only just got back from America (holiday). I'm 16 also and recently things like my emotions have gone quite wild to say the least. I find i can be happy for the whole day and then just start crying suddenly for no reason, then i begin to think of work, me, the condition and get extremely down; although i say this, to me your daughter could be suffering from depression.
What medication is she on? When i was on Prednisolone i went into a really bad emotional state. The side effects were so bad i was constantly hiding away from everyone (i had weight gain, stretch marks, periods wanted start and other things); it got to the point where i just couldn't take it anymore and tried to overdose. My parents took me straight to the doctors and they found it to be a side effect of pred so i was changed to dex. After this my mood changed completely and i lost the weight and the side effects dissappeared so i've been happy ever since.
This said, recently i've become extremely stressed with exams and work at school and have found extremely hard. As i mentioned before i find myself crying suddenly and just can't stop. Sometimes i feel useless and make myself believe i'm just not good enough; everyone says i try to hard and have too high expectations, which is quite true as when i fail at things i get really upset and down. My mum has recently taken me to the local doctors and i'm going to get councilling for my stress. It would be a good idea to have maybe a private word with her doctor before it gets out of hand.
