I would definitely get another opinion! I don't know the normal ranges for dheas or andros, but her 17ohp level, though high, is not high enough for a diagnosis without an ACTH stim test. Also, it makes a big difference when the blood was drawn for 17ohp. It needs to be early in the am and in the first week of her cycle. Her level isn't high at all if it was after she ovulated. Also, of course, her testosterone would normally be high with LOCAH.
Most importantly, she is on way too much prednisone. Most people with LOCAH take from 2 to 5 mgs. Contact caresfoundation.org and see if they can recommend an endo in your area who is experienced with LOCAH. Good luck!
