See what I mean though, HE should know that 17 ohp should never be in NORMAL ranges for those of us with cah. It should be between 300ng/dl to 900ng/dl (I don't know what your units would be) depending on when the labs were done.

Keeping her 17 ohp in normal range will cause oversupression. She needs her labs done around 8 am, so if she was taking 2 doses a day she would have the labs done before taking her morning dose.

I've been in you shoes twice, once with myself and the second time with my daughter. We both have it.

So it doesn't suprise me that these doctors are oversupressiong people based on 17 ohp alone. If her androstenedione is good then thats whats really needed, as 17 ohp can surge from stress...like driving or being scared of needles, or arguing, or even a headache....so anro and 17 ohp are used together to make an assumtion of how treatment is going. Take care

M1
