I would suggest that you get a copy of your records from your dr and particularly try to find out if you could have 11 beta deficiency. If you do, then the high BP would be a sign that your Cortef dose is too low. Also, what time of day have you been having your BP checked? Cortef does not stay in your system all day long, so if you are having it checked in the afternoon and taking Cortef in the morning, then it is wearing off by the time your BP is checked.

Your mention of hives is interesting; can you tell me more? My daughter has had chronic hives for 3 1/2 years now. She is the reason I'm on this board--she doesn't have a definite diagnosis yet, but is probably LOCAH or a carrier. She tends to have low BP, as is typical with 21 hydroxylase deficiency.
