Make sure the doc that you are referring to is an endocrinologist. I know I have a mild case of LOCAH since I was able to live so long with never an adrenal crisis and I have genetic testing twice. My stimulated OH17 was 3130.
People are over treated all the time, so be sure to get a 2nd opinion, especially since the doc did not seem to explain things so well the 1st time.
I believe Prednisone is the last of the 3 treatments. Most adults are put on either Cortef or Dexamethasone lst and then Pred. if those other 2 don't work. However, please do not take my opinion as truth!!
