17-OHProgesterone was normal, stimulated 327 ng/dl. The doc said it was 3beta-hydroxysteroid deficiency. And, as I mentioned in another post, an article in the last cares newsletter by Dr. Azziz states that no 3b-hsd has been actually first diagnosed in an adult. He says it might actually be PCOS with hyperactive adrenals, and should not be treated with steroids.

My levels (7-fold the upper normal limit) are smack in the middle of what he says is PCOS (usually no more than 2-fold the upper normal limit) and genetically-confirmed NCAH (10-fold the upper normal limit), so I don't know what to do... Suspect, my doc might not be very receptive... as I already asked for genetic testing for my husband and he said 'no need'.
