Can anyone tell me how to do a steroid weaning process? My daughter had been taking 1.25mg, .625mg, and 1.25mg, but recently had to have double dosing for an illness...We are now looking to wean her back down, and then off the Cortef. It has been a nightmare of terror ever since she got sick...We have been so worried about adrenal insufficiency that we can barely stand it. The NIH told us we could take her off meds and simply monitor her, so that's what we want to do...But how do you wean?
