My daughter who has SWCAH went on BC pills for a short period after she had an ovarian cyst rupture.  She developed high BP and they took her off the BC pills.  She was 17 at the time.  Incidentally, when she was much younger she had a few episodes of high BP and we never found a reason and then it returned back to normal.  She saw a cardiologist who could find nothing wrong.  She also suffers from migraines, but not so much since the summer.  She takes Topomax to try to prevent them.  She also has had joint problems.  She dislocated her shoulder a couple of years ago and back then the dr commented that her joints are loose.  Since then she has had a knee injury and arthroscopic surgery for it and now is experiencing severe hip and back pain.  So far anti-inflammatory drugs and PT are not doing much good for that.  Also, a few years ago she suffered from RSD, a rare nerve problem causing chronic pain, after a knee injury and arthroscopic surgery.  Luckily, the RSD resolved after about 6-7 months.  Incidentally, the whole time she experienced the RSD her 17OHP levels were through the roof.  When the RSD went into remission, the 17OHP came down.  Drs. say there is no connection, but I still don't believe that.  I think there is alot more to an adrenal insufficiency than they can even imagine.
