I wonder if the stress from the chronic pain caused her 17 ohp to go up? How were her other levels like andro or testosterone? I know that pain, illness, trauma, stressers to the body require extra steroid, but what happens when we have a chronic illness or pain? We can't keep stress dosing forever.
