Hi Donna, I'm 22 and was diagnosed with LOCAH a year ago, well I have not been offically diagnosed with having the disease but I'm almost certain that I do have it. The same as you I went to a doctor because of irregular periods. But to answer your question, I personally have not had any pain during sexual intercourse even though I have only been sexually active a very few times in my life and have only had one partner, But of course there is a little pain during actual penetration but after that I am fine. I have read that others have experienced pain as well. What you can do you ask? Best advice I can give you is to talk to your partner and suggest a different/slower approach at things. I read somewhere that positions can be changed to minimize pain in some ways..hope this helps a little.
