Her  ACTH results were:

Pre:  androstenedione: 87 ng/DL /  cortisol  8.3 ug/DL/  DHEA 347 ng/DL

          17OH Progest  172 ng/DL/     17OH Preg  267 ng/DL

POST:  androstenedione: 90 ng/DL/  cortisol 20 ug/DL/  DHEA  462 ng/DL

            17OH Progest 701 ng/DL /      17OH PREG 554 ng/DL

Dr stated she is most likely just a carrier and not NCAH.  Although we ran a DNA test on her as well as my son since we are seeing Dr New in NY in Feb.  Can anyone help me to understand these numbers a bit better and is she just a carrier based on this?  (she has gone from 50% in height to 75% in last year and had acne on her chin at age 5!)  Is it possible that this is just the start of it for her and she could get worse? or will she stay same level always?

As always, I appreciate your help and knowledge - oh, yeah, one final question:  what is difference between 17OH PROGEST and 17OH PREG - which is the one to monitor?????

THANKS!

Valerie
