Well, I don't know if I can explain this clearly or even understand it myself, but I just know that cortisol is measured in ug/dL and 17 OHP is measured in ng/dL. I know that there's more than one pathway and things are being converted into more than 1 thing, but I can't explain what you are observing. But I think those kind of discrepancies are found in most people, whose cortisol doubles, but precursors don't. But what is odd about your results is that your cortisol went up SO much, way more than double. So you would expect the same kind of extreme rise in the precursors, too. So I think that is what the dr is saying is impossible.
