re: 8wks pregnant....CAH suspected....very confused and unhappy.....
Jan. 25th, 2007   10:47am

I am new to this website and message board system but I have been treated for late onset CAH since 1981.  I also come from a family with very-irregular cycles.  I have had two children and both pregnancies were normal and the kids are healthy and fine.  My endocrinologist provided very specific instructions for my cortisone treatment during pregnancy and for IV cortisone during labor.  Once your diagnosis leads you to the right endocrinologist, they'll do the same.if you need it.  I know you're worried so I just want you to know CAH is very manageable in pregnancy.  There is a very high probability your second child will be as healthy as your first.
