Thanks for your response. What is CPT? Also, would the diagnosis code be based on the possible diagnosis of LOCAH (what if it's negative?) So far I don't have a dr who is interested in this at all except the allergist, so the insurance co. may not be impressed. I've already talked to Carol myself and sent all my daughter's records 2 wks ago, but have gotten no response. I guess I'm assuming that they will not accept my daughter in the study because she doesn't have a LOCAH diagnosis and she's got the chronic hive issue, which muddies the water for them.

We live in SW Va. My daughter is 17, but she was started on BCP at 14 (seems kind of young to me, but they do make her feel better). She was off of them for about a year, also, while going to endos to try to get the stim test done. We've been to 2 endos and I just heard there is a new one closer by, but he's just finished his endocrine residency, so he's not very experienced. But maybe more open to try things, who knows? I've asked the allergist for a referral. Thanks for the input, and I'll be waiting to hear about your visit to Dr. New!

Kat
