CPT codes are the codes the use on the blood test orders - don't ask me what it stands for!  There are 6 CPT codes for 21-OHD that relates to the DNA test runs....(83891, 83892, 83894, 83896, 83898, 83912).  Our insurance company needed these numbers and the diagnosis codes from endo to pre-approve the DNA test.  So, yes, I am assuming that the diagnosis codes state LOCAH.  I let the endo know that for my daughter they had to "match" as well or we'd have insurance issues.

FYI- did you know that Carol will be out on maternity leave all of March and April? I would try and get an answer from her before that all comes up or you might get lost in the shuffle.....Hopefully they will support you coming!

Are you still seeing a ped. endo?  They might be more apt to treat than one who doesn't see it as much?  Just a thought.  It is frustrating to hear your story and I feel for your struggle to get answers.

I have read so many postings lately I apologize if I repeart questions that are already answered.....but may I ask if you have LOCAH? or how did this come up for your daughter - I had never heard of it before my son's issues!
