I'm 43 and finally have some clue as to what has been wrong with me for so long. I have suffered with all the standard symptoms, almost debilitating fatigue, acne, hair loss, facial hair, salt cravings etc. It was only by accident that a doctor checked my DHEAS level which was twice the upper limit of normal. After struggling with insurance and doing a lot of research on line, I finally have an appointment with an endo in March.
I'm interested in hearing the experiences of others who were diagnosed as an adult...how did it come about? Did you have to fight for treatment?
