re: re: Diagnosed as an Adult Feb. 13th, 2007 5:42pm
I'm searching for a diagnosis. I have been dealing with steadily increasing fatigue over the last 10-15 years and had resorted to going to a naturopath after having doctors look at me like some hypochondriac. She's the one that ordered the DHEAS screen (along with a lot of other hormones). Other than high normal testosterone, DHEAS was the only thing that stuck out like a sore thumb. She tried to tell me PCOS but I didn't buy that because I don't have any of the other symptoms really (my gyn agrees).
I think I was looking for some general support yesterday when i posted. I was having one of those 'sick' days that no one else seems to get...I had a long week at work last week and just wasn't able to fully recover from it over the weekend. Luckily, I was able to take the afternoon off but it's times like that I get scared and desperate to find out what's going on...it feels like people just don't understand and I must look either lazy or malingering.
