re: Non CAH news item--to Megan

Megan, once again, an interesting article. Thanks for posting. I'm impressed with your research skills and wonder if you can help me find something or give me an idea of how to search. I'm trying to find out how long someone on low dose prednisone therapy would have to be off of pred to get accurate hormone blood tests, including cortisol level. (I told the story behind this and the specifcs about the blood work in a post to you below under the topic of ACTH Testing, but I don't know if you ever saw it). My daughter is scheduled to get the repeat blood work done on Monday, so if you can help, I would appreciate a quick response.
Endo insists that being off pred for 1 day is enough; I know I've been told longer, such as weeks, but need a legitimate source to show him.

Actually, I have another question I've tried to research also, which is whether high doses of antihistamines (H1 and H2 blockers) could have interfered with my daughter's stim test. Thanks for any direction you can give me.

Kat
