If we change meds or dose we are told to wait a month toallow levels to stablise before re testing to see the new effect.  I think you need to ask a doctor this, unless of course Megan can come up with something.  Once the pred is out of the system, which does not take long, you would get a snap shot view of what is going on at that moment and perhaps an idea would be to repeat the test, at the same time of the day, a couple of weeks later - to get a comparison reading.  It would depend on how long it would take the adrenals to fully re-function/enlarge as far as I understand. Yet it is an interesting question as when you have any procedure done, you are always asked if you have taken steroids within the last 12 months, however this maybe for high short doses, which do not go over 5 days. I would say though only a couple of weeks. Be interested to hear if you find out. Good luck!
Mary
