high cortisol in non-CAH daughter Mar. 27th, 2007 1:56pm
I just got lab results for my daughter. She has elevated cortisol. She doesn't have CAH - she's not even a carrier but my son is a carrier. She had puberty early and was tested (just the blood test) and it was so low that they didn't pursue it. But when my son started having symtoms she had genetic testing.
She has PCO and insulin resistance and now this. Could she have late onset CAH - she's 17? Could something else cause high cortisol levels?
