I actually have thought that perhaps they missed a mutation and my daughter is a carrier and my son has CAH. It's just that my daughter always had 17-0hp at normal levels. She had early puberty and now has PCO and insulin resistance. The doctor just said that they're going to repeat the test next time they see her so maybe they agree that it doesn't mean much.
Given her PCO and everything she is so far doing very well. She's slim, just a bit hairier than usual, a few breakouts here and there but not major acne, etc. I just keep telling her that she will have to take special care of her diet, etc. I hate to be one of those moms but PCO has such bad diseases linked to it - diabetes, cancer. She's going to college next year and I worry that she won't be eating as well as now.
