re: re: re: LOCAH and infertility
Apr. 1st, 2007   4:45am

Hi I have LOCAH,

I always had very irregular peiods prior to going on b/c pills. WHen I came off them to ttc my periods did not return to a normal cycle at all. I had a laprocsopy operation in Jan 2007 - they said my ovaries were polycystic and probably had never ovulated. They carried out a procedure called ovarian drilling (sounds alarming but was simply them prodding ovaries with an electric needle during the surgey - I was none the wiser). It must have done the trick as it turns out I concieved 16 days later! Have just had 12 week scan and baby is due in Oct.

I was recommended that I needed to try and keep hormone levels as stable as possible so continued beingh very careful to take prednisolone tables regularly every day. Stopping / starting meds or missing doses can cause havoc with your system as you body becomes very reliant on them.

Hope this helps
