From his stim test results, it actually looks like adrenal insufficiency, possibly Addison's. It would be similar to CAH in effect, though it comes from underactive adrenals, not overactive adrenals. The treatment would be the same, steroids, either way, so it doesn't look like your son is on meds for nothing, but I would certainly ask the dr to clarify.
