Sorry - I was on vacation.  My daughter's periods were getting more and more scarce and she had a cyst when she had her ultrasound.  Even though she was not terribly hairy, the doctor said that she had hair in places that she shouldn't.   I'm thinking her back?  I think the doctor said that girls should not have hair towards the center of their back or something like that.  I hope I'm not going to upset a bunch of people who have hair there because I really can't remember what it was.  I think she may have also had something relating to PCO on a bloodtest.

She was diagnosed with insulin resistance a year or 2 later because I read that PCO was related to insulin resistance and asked the doctor to test her.  I'm glad she's being treated for that because I have so much diabetes in my family and it's such a bad disease.

About the tiredness.  I have to say my daughter is probably not particularly tired for a teenager.  She will sleep forever on weekends if you let her but she seems pretty peppy otherwise.  Maybe if your daughter starts getting treated for either condition, her fatigue will go away.

Good luck!

bonnie
