Are you on steroids, and if so, has that not helped your periods? When you have them, are they heavy or light?

My daughter had a lot of emotional ups and downs with her periods and felt better on Yasmin, which evened things out for her. She tried a different one which had more estrogen (don't remember the name) and did not like the emotional feelings she had during the week of her period, which I guess was due to the drop in estrogen. She had switched due to symptoms of low estrogen (including very light periods), so thought the higher dose pill might help. But she likes Yasmin better. Yasmin also has an antiandrogen in it, so it helps reduce testosterone levels.

You might want to look at the amount of hormones in the BCPs you have taken and compare to the amount in Yasmin, to see if it's different enough to give it a try.
