So he is on 17.5mg a day? His behaviour has changed since being put on steroids? Or was apparent beforehand?
You really need to make the endo aware of this. Hopefully the doc will listen.
I can only draw from my own experiences. My daughter and I have gone through the same thing when we were on too much steroid. Perhaps his dose needs adjusting. He is only 5, maybe he doesn't need that much.
I remember being so helpless, watching my daughter be depressed and emotional, gain weight. She couldn't help it.
She takes 12.5mg of Cortef now, and I take 15. I dose 3am, 11am, 5pm.
