Kidney and Adrenal connection
Jul. 5th, 2007   7:21pm
Hi, I am interested in any info about the connection between adrenal and kidney function. I read some of Mel's discussion on this web page. I have late onset CAH but also have kidney pains and symptoms related to kidney problems. I have yet to meet an endo or any other kind of doctor that will help me with this. I took dexamethsone for 8 years and found no benefit from it only a lot of side effects. My endo at the time told me to stop taking it since it wasn't helping my fatigue, which is my big problem. Now i am not taking any medication. Other people i know found steroids to help a lot but it doesn't seem to work on me. I often wonder if the undiagnosed kidney problem effected their ability to work on me. GP doctors have done the general kidney function test and it is normal. I had slightly high phosphates once, which they said was no big deal. If any one knows any doctor who would listen to me and has knowledge in this area, it would be much appreciated. Thanks :) Kathy.
Kathy
