I am new to this message board, My dgt. is almost 11 she has CAH 17 hp she is a salt waister and a non salt producer. she takes alot of cortef and a little flornief. we have been fighting for almost 11 years to find a happy median on her cortef we see the doctor every 3 months for blood draws. for example say she goes today her labs will be spot on and nothing changes we go back in 3 months and omg shes boarder line hosptial zone, our doctor is doing everything from raising her does (she only takes 15mg in the am and 25mg in the pm which is alot but we dont take any in the afternoon and the bulk is at bed time. but my dgt still has crazy side effects like ill mannered alot and gains weight faster than I can cook. I guess i should mention that she is very much into softball so the weight is not as bad as it could be i guess. she has a pretty tone set of legs. just a bit on the chunky side (mommys little chunky monkey)around her abs she has a hugh appatite.when her levels are going fool her face breaks out her hair is oily and she acts like a monster from u know where. I heard once that there was a study being done on a blood pressure med that was found to lower the amounts of cortef a person would take, any body heard about it? Well our doctor even tried it but we had no luck it almost seemed to mess us up more. To add to the cluelessness of it all I am 6 weeks preg. wow talk about an emotional roller coaster. don't have a clue about having another I am on dexo something or other 1.5 and boy I hate that mess I feel horrible. well I guess I better stop chatty kathy (me) and hopefully some one will give me some insight on whats up in this funny little box I 'm in lol.
