Question
Jul. 18th, 2007   5:18pm

Well I was researching today on some conditions and happen to run into congential adernal hyperplasia, but anyways I saw it also be called Adrenogential syndrome;21 hydroxylase deficiency and its the way i think my doctor had said it to me, but my question is does the Adrenogential Syndrome;21 hydroxylase deficiency mean that I have CAH and not LOCAH but could it mean that I have LOCAH becasue I was 21 when diagnosed I am now 22 and No i have not received treament or been tested any futher than my first blood work, so I am just wondering about things. WHy so many different names if they all mean the same thing.

I aslo read about salt-wasting and virulizing and nonclassic form. I think i fit under the nonclassic form because of a late(adult)diagnose. Aslo i read that about 95% of adrenal deficienct people have this form.

This post may not make much sense but I guess i am just confused on the inderstanding of this disease. I know I was one of those people who thought I could never have anything thats labeled as RARE until a yr and a half ago. I just wanna know if anyone has any good knowledge and wanna share their experiences with everything.
