re: Question

I'm fairly sure that since you were diagnosed when you were an adult, that means you are non-classic (late onset). I was just diagnosed last week and it has been very confusing for me, too. My doctor gave me a stack of papers going into detail about CAH, and it ended up just confusing me with all of the medical terms. But finally after flipping through everything, I found a page that  described Andronogenital Syndrome;21 hydroxylase deficiency. After reading that page, I think that there are two types of Andronogenital Syndrome; 21 hydroxylase deficiency- classic and non-classic. Since you were diagnosed so late, you are probably non-classic (but don't take my word for it). I might just be confused, but I'm pretty sure that if you had classic CAH, it would have been diagnosed before now, because you would have been either salt-wasting or virilizing. Sorry if none of this post makes sense (I can hardly make sense of it lol).
Natalie
