Menstruation and LOCAH question Jul. 19th, 2007 2:54pm
Hello. I am a 16 year old girl who was just diagnosed with LOCAH because I hadn't had my period and bloodwork showed that I had mildly elevated levels of DHEA (the normal level is somewhere between 2.9 and 10; I had 13.5). I was talking to my doctor at a follow-up appointment, and she made it sound like I would not have a period unless if I took something to balance out my hormones. So my question is: does this mean that I am not ovulating at all and that I won't ovulate with out taking some pill? or does it mean that I will be irregular unless if I take a pill? I was thinking about it, and it wouldn't really make any sense if I'm unable to ovulate at all because she said that it was possible for me to get pregnant...but you have to ovulate to get pregnant... I am soooo confused!
I know I should have asked my doctor these questions, but I didn't think of these questions until now.
