Do you mean that you have never had a period still? If so, I think the dr is saying that you will need to take something to balance out your hormones in order to get your periods started. And yes, there is hope for fertility in the future. However, if you are concerned about whether you are able to get pregnant now, the hormones are very unpredictable. As long as you are not having periods and even if they are very irregular, you are probably not ovulating, but you never know when something might change your hormone balance and you might suddenly ovulate. I was 2 years past menopause when I suddenly ovulated and had 1 last period! Hope this helps.
