Hi Kat,
Well I heard back from my doctor's office and they said my IGF level was high, so now they are sending me to get a 3 hr GH suppression test, which I guess is sort of like a glucose tolerance test. I'll have to fast and have my blood drawn and drink a glucose drink...all that...fun!
I don't know why my doctor ran this test though...the only thing I can guess is that maybe she thinks I have a pituitary tumor? :( I googled this igf-1 thing last night and that's what I came up with, but my doctor has never told me she suspects a pit. tumor. I was thinking she was leaning more towards an adrenal problem.
Hopefully i'll get some answers soon. Thanks for your concern :)
