re: re: re: re: re: 8 year daughter diagnosed with NCAH-please respond ASAP Sep. 12th, 2007 4:14pm
Well, I'm Rick (suprisingly enough!), and I'm 20 now, and was diagnosed with CAH at about 4 (or was it 5?) due to starting a premature growth spurt. I can honestly say that for 99.9% of my life since then I've lead a normal life, the only differences being the occasional hospital checkup, wearing a MedicAlert, and taking my meds. I've had a crisis once, and came close another time, both due solely to my own stupidity and alcohol. I've played competitive sport without hinderance, been on cadet camps, abroad on my own, and, well, I've lived my life.
I appreciate you were enquiring as to whether anyone had a daughter with LOCAH at a young age, not a male, but if you want to chat, I'd be more than happy to.
