I believe that it's not unusual to have excess androgen problems when going through perimenopause. I've never heard of problems with estradiol as you describe. What you need to have checked is your 17 hydroxyprogesterone level, for the most common type of CAH. If that is over 200 ng/dl, then the dr should order the ACTH stimulation test.
