re: re: LOCAH in pregnancy
Sep. 24th, 2007   7:37pm

I can understand completely how you feel, I was diagnosed W/ LOCAH and never had treatment for it b/c the endo I had at the time did not know how to treat it. but now that I have educated my self and found new doctors, yes you are to stay on a steriod and/or progestorone in order to keep your harmones at a certain level.

PLEASE...let your doctors know that they HAVE TOO get on the phone and find other doctors to educate them..find an endocrinologist who can help.

I was so sick when I was pregnant at times I didnt even have the strenght, to stand, eat, shower and I thought I always had sinus infections, but I went to a nose, ear&throat specialist and he explained to me, when there are high levels of androgens(estrogen, testosterone etc,) it inflames the sinus tissue and can cause the feeling of a sinus infection or even the equalibrium to be off...try to do as much research as possible for you pregnancy..it is very important.

I hope some of this is helpful, if you have any questions, please let me know.

sincerely,

vikki
