When people talk about the stim test and the ACTH test, they are probably talking about the same thing. It's actually called the ACTH stimulation test, and it's when they inject you with synthetic ACTH and then test your blood levels before and 60 mins after the injection.
You can also have a blood test that checks the level of ACTH in your blood, so that is another possibility when someone refers to an ACTH test.
Fatigue is another issue. It is my daughter's worst symptom and I hear others talk about it all the time as a big issue, but I've been told that fatigue is not typical with LOCAH. I don't agree, though, based on what I've read. I guess it wouldn't hurt to have a sleep study done, unless you have someone who could observe your sleep to see if you stop breathing. My daughter sleeps a lot and never feels rested. She started taking a low dose of Elavil (they prescribe it for Chronic Fatigue), and it does seem to help some.
