re: re: Late-onset NCAH?
Oct. 2nd, 2007   3:18pm
I am diagnosed with PCOS and am currently being treated.  The treatment is simple and effective for most.  I take 1500 mg Metphormin daily.  Most of my symptoms (amenorhea-- absence of periods, hirstuism-- excessive hair growth, and obesity) have almost completely disappeared.  I am currently being tested for CAH as a secondary condition (?).  The process for diagnosis of PCOS is MUCH EASIER.  I would get that checked first.  The best doctor to diagnose and treat this is an Endocrinologist/ Gynecologist.  The doctor will most commonly treat infertility, but will give you long-term options for feeling better.  Hope it helps!!
Corry
