I would like to thank everyone who replied to Michelle. I am going through the same situation and am scared to death. You are all WONDERFUL.
I am really struggling with the reality of having a 6-yr-old dtr. with CAH because, I guess, it isn't so severe as the salt wasting kind. My hubby and i are both very tall so we didn't think anything of her height (she towers over her classmates.) It was only a moderate amount of pubic hair growth that caused us to have her checked. There has been no illness, no crisis, not a THING that would indicate she has a problem.
I guess I get concerned about making her take steroids when she seems like just a regular (but tall) girl. I'll keep reading if you all keep posting! Hopefully I'll understand all this craziness eventually!
