I think you ran into a problem that is typical with specialists. They can't deal with you when your issues fall outside their area of expertise. Dr. New specializes in 21 hydroxylase deficiency, which you apparently don't have. It's possible that you have a very rare form of CAH, and you would have to do some research on that to see if one fits and find a dr who is knowledgeable in that.

But it seems to me that your adrenal insufficiency, whatever the cause, is the main problem and you are receiving treatment for that, finally. I can't imagine LOCAH causing the degree of adrenal insufficiency that you've experienced, so it's quite possible that you have Addison's along with PCOS. Are you receiving treatment for PCOS?
