re: late onset cah

Hi Stef,

I am inclined to agree with Kat. Your children may have been diagnosed late, but judging by the bone age at diagnosis and other symptoms your children  sound like they are Classical Simple Virilisers.

The implications are that there is a lot less leeway for non-compliance in the future as their cortisol levels will be low (& ACTH levels high) than there would be with Non-classical or LOCAH.  In other words; a greater chance for adrenal insufficiency.

Have you ever had genetic testing done?

Megan
