When I had a 24hr urine test it was to see if I had a phenocromocytoma, which is a tiny tumor on the chromafin cells that are on the inner part of thse adrenals. These tumors are generally benign, but can cause a lot of the same symptoms as LOCAH. I believe the test itself is looking for elevations in your catocholimines(sp), like epenephrine, norepinehrine, etc. I do agree that an acth stim test or a cortisol stim test is the best way to test for LOCAH and there is no way a doc can look at you and say you don't look like you have LOCAH. I spent almost my entire life saying something wasn't right with my body and I kept getting told that there was nothing wrong. Well low and behold my mother and I diagnosed me with LOCAH 5 yrs ago but I couldn't get a doc to do the right blood test until 6months ago. Hang in there and keep on those docs because only you know how you truely feel and most people know when something is not right with their body. Believe me I work with docs 40hrs a week and they are not always right about everything. Good luck and I hope you get some answers soon.
