When my daughter took Zyrtec for her hives, I don't know if it made her depressed (she was 13 at the time and her emotions were all over the place), but it did make her really tired. She was taking horseback riding lessons at the time and we stopped them because she kept falling. Later she saw a dermatologist who said it was probably the Zyrtec that was making her so tired. She has done better on a different antihistamine, though she still complains of being tired. I've never heard of Zyrtec causing depression, but it must be pretty strong stuff.
