One thing that you can try is to reduce your pred dose (of course, without the cooperation of your dr, that would be hard). Most women seem to be on 5 mgs, but some do get along with less, even half that. From your symptoms, it does sound like you are getting too much. Other people do better on dexamethasone or hydrocortisone. Both are steroids like pred, just different in the dosing. Finding the right steroid and dose can be trial and error and very individual. Some women who are not severely effected just treat the symptoms, taking birth control pills to regulate their periods and an antiandrogen for excess hair, etc.
