re: re: What meds are available? Oct. 29th, 2007 7:14pm
This is what my Stimulation tests showed: Post injection: Cortisol was 12 (in range) Progesterone was 424 (out of range-high) Pregnenolone was 213 in range.
After injection: Cortisol was 18 (in range) Progesterone was 4875 (out of range-high) Pregnenolone was 1862 out of range-high)
My total testosterone was 55 & free testosterone was 7.5
Those were my initial test results. Anytime I mention these problems to the Nurse practioner (seems my doctor never has time to see me) She tells me to talk to my PCP. Well i called today to ask about scheduling an appointment with my actual doctor today to discuss problems & they told me I only get to see my "doctor" once a year & I already saw him. -.- So come the 26th when i go for my usual 6 month check, I am sure she will tell me "Talk to your PCP" yet again. Very frustrating. Oh another side effect I forgot to mention is hair loss. No "bald" spots, just an awful lot falling out & ending up in the drain. A lot more then the normal as it always has. They have me on Spironolacto 50 mg twice a day for the evil facial hair growth. I had quit it once before because it upset my stomach/digestive system, but started taking it back since I found it easier to deal with the minor nausea then a beard. Sadly the doctor I am seeing is the only one I can find in my area. I am in the Erie, PA area - 45 mins & Buffalo, NY area (2hrs). Leaves very little options for me. I am at the point I feel like just stopping all the meds & being done with it. Which ofc would be dangerous, but I am honestly.. at that point.
