Thank you again Silver...Halle has never actually been adrenal suppressed, and no one knows exactly why. Her bone age has continued to advance, and she has pubic hair, underarm odor, and acne.  Her labs are terrible--17OHP continues to be in the 3-4000 range on meds. She continues to make her own cortisol--albeit a borderline amount. But the thing is, she's making cortisol, plus getting supplemented with hydrocortisone...Dr. Sarafoglou is asking for an MRI now to check for adrenal rests, as everything else--including an ultrasound of the adrenals, was normal. But like I say, even at 15mg a day (of hydrocortisone,) she never suppressed.

I'm going to check on the ketoconazole more. Have you heard of it being used regularly in children with CAH?

Christine
