No, we are in VA, but I do think that sunlight has something to do with it. The test that showed slightly low vitamin D was done in March. Maybe that's why the dr wasn't concerned. But my daughter has red hair and very fair skin and has always been careful with sunscreen to keep from burning. Now we find out that interferes with vitamin D production. I don't really know the answer. I've been told that 10 minutes a day in the sun several times a week is enough, but I guess you'd need more if you're deficient.
