re: re: re: Is it possible to get pregnant w/o any treatment at all?

Generic, Dexamethasone, brand name Decadron. It's one of the steroids used to treat this condition. Most take about .25 of a mg. Sometimes a little bit more.

Prednisone and Hydrocortisone are also steroids used to treat this. Typically what we get are "replacement doses" to replace the Cortisol that we don't make.

I'm not trying to have anymore kids now. I have 2. So I take Hydrocortisone, the weakest one, and I like it.

Dex, if taken in high doses can have side effects like weight gain. I really didn't gain much weight on it. Even when I was on a high dose. Dex is usually used when one is trying to get pregnant.

Also you will want to get you husband checked to see if he is a carrier. You child will be a carrier even if he is not. But if he is a carrier then you have a higher chance of having a child with cah. Guess that may not matter though. I still would have had my daughter, and she has locah too. I can't imagine life without her.
