Are you talking about a lab test for ACTH or the ACTH stim test? If you are talking about the test for ACTH, I was told by the RE and also by Dr. New's lab that it is not a reliable test. ACTH is pulsatile and so it varies a lot. They don't think any test for it is reliable. And they said that if you have adrenal insufficiency, the ACTH numbers will be very high, like 200-300. My daughter's is high, too, but only in the 80's (the upper reference range was 48).
