Hi again. Well right now I take 20mg. 10mg @3am, 5 around 10am, and 5 more around 5pm. Works good for me. BTW I used to have severe migraines when I took Dex, and before I was treated. Now I rarely get one, and it's usually sinus related.
If you don't feel right on Dex then yes you should try another steroid. I was dumb and took the doc's word for it for about 12 years. Deet-deedee!!
I beleive you on the cortisol part, that's why they can't get a true cortisol reading when one is taking Dex. Because it changes the bioavailabity of it (something like that) Another thing I don't get. Is that people that have too much Cortisol actually take Dex to bring their cortisol down!! Go figure!!

Oh and I wanted to add that my whole family is plagued with this anxiety.
